6 ways being part of the Centenary & Districts Chamber of Commerce can benefit you and your business...
1. A great opportunity to get together with other business people. For most of us in small business, we live in a fairly isolated world running our businesses. The Chamber is a great way to meet other business owners and share some experiences with them. It can be very mutually encouraging to find out you are not alone ‘out there’.
2.Networking opportunities. All worthwhile networking takes time – as the saying goes “it may not happen overnight, but it will happen”. Many members have done long term valuable business as a result of regularly being part of Chamber gatherings.
3. Referrals. As well as direct networking, there is a great opportunity to cross refer. As an example one of our members called me recently and asked if we knew of a recruitment firm who could help him. We did and so that firm benefited from the Chamber network.
4.Access to Government agencies. While the local Chamber does not directly represent members in dealing with Government, your elected representatives are each very active participants in the Chamber. Where possible our Patron Julie Attwood MLA, Michael Johnson MP and Cr Matthew Bourke attend Chamber functions and are available to you.
5.Relevant Speakers. It is our aim to bring you speakers who have expertise in matters which will be of value to you in running your business and making more profit. And we’d all like more of that!
6.Member Expertise. There are some very successful business operators among our members. You can grab some great tips from a simple breakfast table conversation! Please join us for a meeting...
